Job summary

Guidehouse in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Staff for Program Accounting and Finance to lead a team of accountants and ensure quality across government programs. You will mentor staff, train diverse personnel, and align ledger activity with partner system interfaces.

You will reconcile GL to detailed journals, translate requirements into system functionality, and produce Ad Hoc Business Analytics reports for stakeholders. Expect travel up to 10% and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in financial or business discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in government accounting/finance.
• 5+ years' experience with Business Case Analytics.
• 5+ years' experience working with Momentum®.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of accountants in support of AFO through leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance.
• Conduct training for a broad range of personnel with varying levels of accounting knowledge and experience.
• Reconcile General Ledger Summary to Detail Journals within the accounting system and with interfacing accounting systems from partner organizations.
• Understand and translate accounting requirements into accounting system functionality, assisting users through Tier II field support and potentially resulting in new system requirements.
• Communicate with multiple organizations and users, translating requirements for accounting information into writing and delivering Ad Hoc reports using Business Analytics.
• Track and correct outstanding or problem transactions through detailed research of multiple accounting systems and deep government accounting experience.
• Reconcile reimbursable program within the Air Force and with partner organizations.
• Assist with preparation, review, and reconciliation of Forms 7113, 1219/1220, 7801.
• Drive completion of Tri-Annual Review process through identification, analysis, and correction of open items.
