Leidos offers its knowledge and expertise to publicly and privately-owned utilities, financial institutions, and local governments. We provide our clients with business insights into all sectors of the infrastructure industry.

We are seeking a Program Engineer with 9+ years of experience in a utility or engineering consulting company servicing the power industry. The candidate must have a strong educational background in civil or electrical engineering design. Experience in project management, transmission engineering design, scheduling, and cross-discipline collaboration is desired. The role involves coordinating project workloads, scheduling resources, attending meetings and site walkdowns, and collaborating with electrical design teams on transmission projects.

This position is primarily project management-focused, responsible for building project schedules, managing staff resource-loaded schedules, and contributing to bids and proposals. The candidate will take a leadership role within an evolving team, focusing on client projects, attending meetings, procuring design inputs, overseeing workflow, and maintaining quality control to ensure timely submission of design packages. Site visits to client ROW/facilities and occasional travel for meetings and industry events are expected.

Experience in client-facing operations such as preliminary engineering consultations, project setup, and kick-off meetings is preferred. The candidate must adhere to quality control and safety practices and ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget. This senior role will be part of a team of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil or Electrical Engineering – Required.
  • PE Licensure – Preferred.
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Workfront is desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Familiarity with transmission engineering design practices and quality control is required.
  • Experience with PLS-CADD software is required.
  • Familiarity with MFAD software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NESC and MA CMR 220 is required.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Location: Ideal candidates will be based in New England or PA. This position is REMOTE.

Compensation

Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
