Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a seasoned leader to direct Global Facilities Delivery programs, delivering capital assets at scale from front-end design through commissioning. You will coordinate Lilly and partner teams across regions, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution.
The role requires 15+ years with brownfield/greenfield projects, relocation/travel, and a focus on GMP manufacturing and complex site delivery. Onsite relocation to project sites is expected.
At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. We unite caring with discovery to help make life better for people around the world, knowing that every decision, every detail, and every day matters. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, our over 50,000 employees around the globe take on complex challenges to discover and deliver life-changing medicines, strengthen how health is understood and managed, and support the communities we serve. This is hard, urgent, selfless work—but it’s work worth doing. If you’re driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.
The Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) Organization, part of Manufacturing & Quality, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the world. Our mission is accomplished through a highly leveraged organization of design, construction, and qualification contractors. Many of the assets delivered focus on medical innovation and delivering innovative solutions to patients. Some of the assets delivered will expand the supply of existing medicines or strengthen the supply chain.
Program Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver large programs of at least $1BN USD in capital assets that are highly business-critical in nature. These teams will consist of both Lilly and Non-Lilly professionals, working to safely achieve project objectives from front-end planning (conceptual design) in a Brownfield or Greenfield site through operational qualification (cradle to grave). Project objectives are defined as delivering asset capability or capacity with safety, cost, schedule, and quality assurance.
Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance from corporate headquarters while developing and maintaining effective communication with GFD leadership, the project team, governance teams, business partners, and other stakeholders. Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and implement project work safely with quality, speed, and value.
Compliance: Lead with a disciplined, structured approach to project management based on compliance with Company Policies and Procedures, and lead program execution in compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements for the facilities and systems delivered.
Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for assigned projects. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational verification.
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
