Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Program Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate will work under the Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) research initiative funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). RECOVER was awarded over $450M to serve as the RECOVER Clinical Science Core (CSC). As the CSC, NYULH supports new studies of COVID-19 survivors and plans to partner with more than 200 study-enrolling sites across the United States. Approximately 40,000 participants, including children, pregnant women, adults, and decedents, will be enrolled and followed for up to four years. The Program Coordinator position is within the representative authorship team of the CSC whose purpose is to coordinate efforts between Publications and Representative Authorship teams. This interdepartmental effort spans the Office of Science and Research, Department of Medicine, Department of Population Health, and Medical Center IT.

Job Responsibilities

• Draft video scripts that translate RECOVER research findings into accessible content for public audiences.
• Evaluate performance metrics and impact of the video series, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with authors, patient, caregiver, and community representatives, as well as design vendors, throughout content development and production.
• Schedule and coordinate virtual activities and special events with partnering community engagement organizations; may oversee staff assigned to this responsibility.
• Develop new community resources and review, update, and maintain existing resources to ensure relevance and accuracy.
• Develop presentations and other materials to support meetings, trainings, and dissemination activities.
• Liaise between RECOVER Principal Investigators, RECOVER Publications, and Representative Authors to facilitate representative engagement and support in manuscript development.
• Lead the patient, community, and caregiver Representative manuscript matching and authorship processes, hosting kickoff calls and coordinating correspondence between lead authors and Representatives.
• Analyze data and translate findings into clear, accessible language for patient, caregiver, community, and public audiences.
• Project/Program coordination: use judgment to provide coordination for program activities to a program leader, department or organizational unit in the planning, preparation, organization, analyses, coordination and delivery of projects and programs while working with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude major programs. Coordinate/communicate program activities with concerned parties including vendors and users. Develop, prepare and revise training materials, develop educational curriculum, database management and ensure satisfaction of end users through surveys and other measurement tools. Coordinate special technical trainings relative to the program (e.g., statistical software).
• Prepare and issue reports within established procedures. Analyze findings/data and present recommendations. Prepare and review documents independently and generate status/progress reports for ongoing and pending program related projects. Plan, arrange, outline and draft letters, memos, agendas, presentations and reports.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
• Gather, collect and analyze data from different parties; ensure accuracy and present recommendations as applicable. Respond to requests for information, summaries, and data based on information compiled from various sources. Plan, develop materials and presentations for training and educational sessions, departmental seminars and other activities.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience including program/project coordination or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to multi task and project manage.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS is preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.60 - $88,483.50 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
