Job description

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Program Coordinator to support Saronic’s Mission Operations organization in Austin, TX. Mission Operations is the operational execution arm of Saronic, responsible for four lines of work that put the company’s autonomous platforms on the water and keep them mission-ready for defense and commercial customers alike: Operations, Sustainment, Training, and Research & Development. This full-time, onsite role is central to that execution: it leads coordination across the complex, multi-workstream programs the team runs in each of these areas, drives work from planning through delivery, and ensures operational readiness milestones are met.

The Senior Program Coordinator partners cross-functionally with engineering, test, and mission stakeholders to remove blockers and align on priorities, owns the systems used to track progress and decisions, and provides the scheduling and administrative backbone that allows Mission Operations to execute reliably for Saronic and its customers, all within a fast-paced, mission-driven technology environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead coordination for complex, multi-workstream Mission Operations programs spanning operations, sustainment, training, and research and development, driving work from planning through delivery

  • Ensure operational readiness milestones are met across fielded operations, vessel and system sustainment, operator and customer training, and R&D efforts for both defense and commercial customers

  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, test, and mission stakeholders to remove blockers, align on priorities, and keep critical programs on schedule

  • Track and monitor all ongoing programs and initiatives within Mission Operations to ensure visibility of key milestones, deliverables, and decisions

  • Own and improve the dashboards, schedules, and internal reports that give leadership an accurate picture of program health across the Mission Operations portfolio

  • Coordinate the logistics behind operations, sustainment events, training deliveries, and R&D activities, including internal and external meetings, briefings, and team events

  • Support coordination of cross-functional activities and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion

  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and summaries for leadership and program reviews

  • Manage and prioritize calendars for the Senior Director and team members, aligning schedules with organizational and mission priorities

  • Provide administrative support, including document management, expense tracking, and report preparation

  • Facilitate communication between leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders

  • Identify potential bottlenecks early and take decisive action to maintain operational momentum

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency across Mission Operations, raising the standard of program rigor for the team

  • Assist with onboarding new team members by coordinating logistics and ensuring access to systems and resources

  • U.S. and international travel in support of Mission Operations planning and execution

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Communications, or a related field OR 4+ years of military service with relevant leadership, administrative, or operational experience

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in program coordination, project management, or operations roles supporting operational, sustainment, training, or R&D programs

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Slack, NetSuite, and Confluence)

  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technical environment

  • Current U.S. passport

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance or higher

  • Prior experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government programs

  • Experience coordinating fielded operations, sustainment, training delivery, or R&D programs, particularly for maritime or unmanned systems

  • Familiarity with DoW program environments, defense operations, or commercial maritime operations

  • Judgment: Makes informed decisions in complex or non-routine situations. Evaluates trade-offs between different solutions and considers the broader impact on team objectives, mission timelines, and the company.
