Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a physician in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences to provide patient care, education and clinical research. The department offers pediatrics-focused ophthalmology services alongside LASIK and other refractive options.

The successful candidate will diagnose and treat eye conditions in children, participate in teaching learners, and contribute to documentation and patient care excellence in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign medical degree.
• USMLE Step 3 completed.
• Ophthalmology residency completed.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology in process or completed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams, diagnose and treat eye disorders and track patient progress.
• Educate children and parents on eye health and preventive care.
• Perform pediatric ophthalmology surgical procedures to correct congenital, developmental or traumatic eye conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage pediatric eye-related issues.

Education

Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Foreign Medical Equivalent Degree
