The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston is seeking a qualified optometrist to provide faculty support in the Department of Ophthalmology. Responsibilities include delivering patient care and participating in teaching activities such as conferences, lectures, and supervising house staff in clinics.
Ideal candidates must be graduates of an accredited medical school and have completed a residency in optometry. A valid Texas Optometry license without restrictions is required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
The purpose of this position is to provide faculty support to meet the teaching and patient care needs of the Department of Ophthalmology and assist in fulfilling UTMB's mission. The incumbent will provide optical care and participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures, house staff supervision in clinics, continuing education, and local, regional and national meetings.
