UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center in York, PA is seeking a Senior Professional Staff Nurse II responsible for patient care leadership, applying independent judgment, and partnering with physicians and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

We offer a generous sign-on bonus up to $15,000, up to five and a half weeks of PTO plus seven holidays, tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 per year, and dedicated career ladders to advance your nursing career.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Completion of annual contribution to UPMC My Nursing Career Ladder.
• UPMC approved nursing certification required within 1 year of hire/promotion.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state; CPR as per AHA standards.

Responsabilités

• Precepts students, graduate nurses and new hires, and identifies learning opportunities to improve patient care.
• Apply the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment and plan patient care.
• Serve as a unit leader, provide feedback, participate in teams and governance, and promote a positive work environment.
• Build and maintain relationships with colleagues, physicians, and patients/families to support care quality and safety.
• Identify opportunities for clinical quality improvements and lead or participate in relevant initiatives.
