Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Senior Claim Examiner to investigate, evaluate, and resolve Professional Liability claims with a focus on customer service. The role involves working with insureds, brokers, and counsel to adjust claims and ensure coverage analysis is thorough.

The candidate should be able to identify coverage issues, coordinate investigations, and manage experts and defense counsel. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years claims handling or relevant legal/insurance industry experience.
• College degree or equivalent business experience.
• Experience with Professional Liability or other Financial Lines claims preferred but not required.
• Law degree preferred but not required.
• If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve Professional Liability claims with high service standards.
• Identify and evaluate coverage issues; prepare coverage letters and analysis.
• Coordinate investigations into loss facts and third‑party damages.
• Direct and monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel.
• Evaluate information to determine exposure and reserves within authority.
