Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Production Technician with a focus on operating and maintaining a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine facility. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and continuous performance improvement by employees and contractors.

The position supports a multi-skill progression plan and requires strong communication, P&ID interpretation, and electrical skills. It offers 12-hour shifts, day/night rotations, and storm readiness duties.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years in a CCGT facility in Operations/Maintenance; or 5 years power plant ops/maintenance/ electrical experience.
• Production Tech III: 0-2 years in a CCGT facility; or 4 years power plant ops/maintenance/electrical experience.
• Ability to communicate results and interpret P&ID's, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain systems at a CCGT facility with safety focus.
• Participate in multi-skill progression plan to develop key maintenance skills.
• Lead safety briefings and contractor safety orientations as needed.
• Apply understanding of plant systems, burner and turbine controls, data acquisition, and process controls.
• Perform inspections, calibrations, installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Carry out mechanical work on instrumentation, electrical equipment, and light PM of mechanical systems.
