Job summary

Columbus McKinnon, through its Unified Industries division, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily production, assembly, and material-handling operations. You will ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient workflow while supporting customer commitments.

You will coach a hourly workforce, interpret drawings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across crane systems and ergonomic solutions. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with OSHA, and strong teamwork in a manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent field experience in operations/manufacturing.
Experience supervising hourly production teams in a fast-paced setting preferred.
Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily production and assembly work for cranes and material-handling systems.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and coordinate labor, materials, and equipment.
Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to engineering standards and customer specs.
Ensure safe operation of tools and equipment and reinforce safety protocols.
Lead start-up meetings, training, and coaching to improve performance.
Collaborate with other departments to plan production and resolve issues.
Support continuous improvement to enhance ergonomics and throughput.
Maintain production records, safety logs, and corrective actions.
Assist onboarding and training of new employees.
