Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Brighton, MI is seeking a Production Supervisor responsible for daily leadership of production, assembly and material-handling operations, ensuring safe, high‑quality, and efficient workflow while meeting customer commitments.

You will oversee crane components and ergonomic solutions, coach teams, enforce safety and quality standards, and partner with other departments to improve throughput and maintain CM’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production supervision (industrial or material‑handling environment strongly preferred).
Demonstrated experience leading hourly production teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily production and assembly work related to workstation cranes, enclosed track systems, lift assists, articulating arms, and custom ergonomic material‑handling solutions.
Assign work, set priorities, and coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Monitor product quality, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and customer specifications.
Ensure safe operation of tools, hoists, lift systems, and related equipment in alignment with safety design philosophy.
Conduct daily start‑up meetings, reinforce safety protocols, and ensure OSHA compliance.
