Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking a senior operations leader to direct daily production at the Decatur, AL facility. You will coordinate across operations and support organizations to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets, and translate strategies into actionable plans.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ experience, including 2+ years in people leadership. Lean manufacturing, cost/scheduling management, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 8 years of applicable experience, plus at least 2 years managing people or leading teams.
• Strategic thinker who translates strategies into operational processes and outcomes.
• Excellent written and oral communication to lead and develop teams.
• Experience with cost and scheduling management.
• Purposeful leader who can drive change and unity of purpose.

Responsibilities

• Directs and leads daily production operations across Decatur facilities to meet objectives.
• Focuses teams toward a common goal to achieve program performance.
• Translates strategies into actionable objectives and business plans.
• Drives efficiencies and improvements in manufacturing value stream; optimize asset returns.
• Leads innovation using Lean tools and continuous improvement approaches.
• Ensures programs, policies and contractual requirements are implemented in operations.
