Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a Senior Operator at our Seattle, WA facility. You will operate and troubleshoot production equipment, manage changeovers, and perform quality checks to ensure safety and efficiency. You will also use SAP/SAP ECP for production transactions and contribute to a high-performing team on a 5-day, 11:00 a.m.

– 7:30 p.m. schedule. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, English communication, and a commitment to food safety and GMPs.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and communicates effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production systems navigation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; able to train and mentor others.
• Commitment to product quality, food safety, GMPs and HACCP requirements.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
• Preferred SAP/SAP ECP experience for production transactions and inventory.
• Experience operating equipment like Multivac, slicers, peelers, and metal detectors.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot production equipment and set up lines.
• Complete production transactions and inventory movements in SAP/SAP ECP; document records.
• Perform quality checks and verify metal detectors per food safety standards.
• Identify issues, take corrective action, and minimize downtime.
• Support multiple production areas; assist with line coordination and staffing.
• Train and mentor teammates on equipment operation, GMPs, and safety procedures.
• Communicate with operations, maintenance, QA, and leadership while following PPE rules.
