Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Production Manager to lead the safe, efficient operation of the Reserve site’s production department. You will provide strategic leadership for production, safety, environmental, and health compliance in collaboration with the Site EHSS Manager.

You will drive operational excellence, develop a high-performing team, and partner with site functions to ensure quality and customer satisfaction while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–8 years of chemical manufacturing, production, or process operations experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in production or operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and RCA-driven problem solving.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Proven ability to drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team across sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, 24/7 production and logistics operations meeting output and quality targets.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure regulatory compliance (EHS, OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions (RCA).
• Manage production scheduling, resources, and priorities with Supply Chain.
• Oversee logistics, warehousing, material handling, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain SOPs for process changes, new products, and equipment mods.
• Drive continuous improvement via OEE, yield, cycle time, and process optimization.
