Job summary

Trystar Inc in Faribault, MN is seeking a Senior Production Technician to lead the production team, drive lean improvements, and ensure on-time fabrication of components. You will train team members, manage daily operations, and leverage the Epicor MRP system for efficient planning and scheduling.

The role emphasizes safety, quality adherence, and collaboration with maintenance and other departments to meet customer expectations and production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical assembly, and/or fabrication.
• Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and MRP transactions (Epicor preferred).
• Ability to work department shift hours and overtime.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and enforcement ability.

Responsibilities

• Train and lead the production team to meet targets and quality objectives.
• Utilize Epicor MRP to plan, schedule, and optimize resources.
• Follow a comprehensive production schedule based on orders and forecasts.
• Monitor assembly/fabrication to ensure compliance with specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Implement process improvements and create work instructions where applicable.
• Generate regular production reports and KPIs for performance tracking.
