Job summary

Rubbercraft, Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Production Expeditor III to manage a large, high-mix production queue from release to shipment. You will monitor due dates, address blockers, and coordinate recovery actions across departments to protect on-time delivery.

The role requires 4–6 years in expediting or related fields, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and the ability to coach Expeditor I/II staff while upholding AS9100/ITAR compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; business, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years in production expediting, scheduling, planning, materials, manufacturing, or supply chain; equivalent demonstrated experience may be considered.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing routings; Great Plains, SSRS, MS Planner, CPT, and advanced Excel experience preferred.
• APICS/CPIM or CPSM certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain visibility of a large portfolio of active manufacturing orders, including due dates, quantities, routing status, blockers, projected completion dates, and recovery actions.
• Set daily priorities using customer commitments, past-due status, shortage risk, quality holds, tooling availability, capacity, and production readiness.
• Monitor orders through the production floor and verify system status, planner boards, trackers, and shop-floor conditions.
• Identify late or at-risk orders early; communicate issue, impact, owner, required action, and recovery date.
• Coordinate with department leads to remove blockers and recover schedule performance.
• Prepare accurate daily and periodic order-status updates, including past dues, recovery plans, and significant changes to projected dates.
• Use Great Plains/ERP, SSRS, MS Planner, CPT, Excel to research orders and update records.
• Support NPI, Engineering-change, and special-project execution by maintaining milestones.
