Job summary

BPX Energy, a BP affiliate, is seeking a Production Engineer for the Eagle Ford Operations team in Denver, CO. The role focuses on maximizing well performance, applying production engineering practices, and implementing optimal artificial lift strategies.

Essential candidates will have 7–15 years in production/petroleum engineering, a bachelor's in engineering, and expertise in gas lift and related downhole technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 7–15 years of production/petroleum engineering experience.
• Knowledge of gas lift, rod lift, plunger lift, and GAPL/PAGL design.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own production optimization and well performance for Eagle Ford wells.
• Review, explain, and recommend solutions to drive improvements in daily production performance.
• Support field operations team through rapid response engineering and troubleshooting support.
• Develop and implement an optimized artificial lift lifecycle for all wells in the Eagle Ford asset.
• Manage and optimize chemical treatment and flow assurance programs.
• Project manage implementation of engineered solutions: budgets, scope, and handover to field operations.
