Job summary

Dennis Eagle in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead improvement projects and drive manufacturing innovation across our operation. You will work with Production and Engineering teams to turn ideas into practical solutions that boost quality, productivity and overall performance.

As a Senior Production Engineer, you will own initiatives from process change to new product introductions, identify bottlenecks, and mentor junior engineers to deliver results on time.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
  • Proven production engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles and process improvement.
  • Experience with NPI and manufacturing change projects.
  • Ability to document processes and develop instructions with attention to detail.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Introduce new processes, products and technologies to improve quality and productivity.
  • Support prototype builds, proof builds and NPI activities.

  • Deliver projects from factory improvements to layout changes and process optimisation.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and apprentices.

Role: Senior Production Engineer

Hours: 40 hours per week | between 08:30 and 17:00Monday to Friday

Salary: between £43,000 and £48,000 pa DOE

Are you an experienced Production Engineer looking to take the lead on improvement projects, new product introductions and manufacturing innovation? We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to play a key role in improving production processes, introducing new technologies and driving operational efficiency across our manufacturing operation. Working closely with both Production and Engineering teams, you'll help turn ideas into practical solutions that improve quality, productivity and performance.

As a Senior Production Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects that support the continued development of our manufacturing processes and facilities. You'll identify opportunities for improvement, solve production challenges and help ensure new products and processes are successfully introduced into production.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks to improve efficiency and output
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Introduce new processes, products and technologies that improve quality and productivity
  • Support prototype builds, proof builds and new product introduction (NPI) activities
  • Create and maintain build instructions, process documentation and risk assessments
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve manufacturing issues and improve production performance
  • Deliver projects ranging from factory improvements and layout changes to manufacturing process optimisation
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and apprentices
What We're Looking For
  • Degree (or equivalent) qualified in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in a Production Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, line balancing and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience delivering process improvements that drive productivity, quality and cost savings
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing change projects
  • Confident producing technical documentation, work instructions and process controls
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach to overcoming production challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workloads and deliver results to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior engineers would be advantageous
  • CAD experience and familiarity with manufacturing improvement tools would be beneficial
