Job summary

Airswift represents a large chemical manufacturing company based in Houston, TX, seeking a Unit Lead - Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations and ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities include leading technical teams, resolving process issues, conducting KPI reviews, and driving continuous improvement in MET implementations while maintaining permit compliance and site integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of operations, engineering, manufacturing in chemical manufacturing or oil & gas industry.
• Leadership experience is required. Ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations and technical teams to optimize plant performance, resolve process issues, and apply best practices and MET.
• Provide technical expertise in process improvement, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor plant operations through KPI reviews, process trends, logs, and alarm history to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, reliability, and raw material utilization.
• Maintain a strong field presence by reinforcing operating procedures, documenting operating discipline, and supporting safe and effective plant operations.
• Serve as a technical lead during plant upsets, emergencies, and unplanned events, ensuring timely response and resolution.
• Ensure compliance with operating permits, support site integration efforts, and contribute to overall system optimization.
