Athena is hiring a Senior Production Designer to lead final-stage creative execution across multiple channels, ensuring production-ready assets are flawless and ready for distribution. You will collaborate with creative directors, designers, project managers, account teams, and external partners to deliver assets that meet brand and platform standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production design in an agency, in-house team, studio, publisher, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Strong design fundamentals: typography, layout, composition, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• Deep understanding of print production processes: color management, bleed, trim, die lines, proofing, and press-ready prep.
• Experience adapting assets for multiple outputs across print, digital, social, web, and environmental graphics.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, organizing, and delivering production-ready assets across print, digital, social, web, out-of-home, environmental, experiential, and emerging channels.
• Preflighting files to ensure technical accuracy, quality, accessibility compliance, and production specs.
• Building final artwork and production files meeting vendor, printer, platform, and channel requirements.
• Adapting campaign creative across formats while maintaining visual hierarchy, design integrity, and brand consistency.
• Applying strong design fundamentals to ensure adaptations are intentional and polished.
• Managing version control, file organization, naming conventions, and packaging of final deliverables.
• Collaborating with designers, art directors, and production teams to refine layouts and preserve the original vision.
• Coordinating with printers, fabricators, developers, media partners, and other vendors to ensure successful production.
• Reviewing proofs for color accuracy, typography, image quality, accessibility, and technical specs.
• Optimizing assets for large-format graphics, digital advertising, websites, emails, and environmental graphics.
• Troubleshooting production issues and resolving risks before release.
• Staying current on evolving production standards, platform specs, accessibility requirements, and best practices.
• Serving as final quality-control checkpoint for all deliverables.
