Liverpool Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Denim Production Coordinator to manage the end-to-end production of denim styles from bulk through shipment. You will work with Design, Technical Design, Marketing & Sales, Sourcing, Vendors, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost control.

Job description

The Senior Denim Production Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end production process for Liverpool denim styles from bulk production through shipment and receipt. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Technical Design, Marketing & Sales, Sourcing, Vendors, and Logistics, to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, accurate production tracking, and cost control while meeting company standards and customer requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily communication with overseas factories regarding production status, timelines, approvals, and production issues.
  • Issue Production Purchase Orders to vendors and ensure production details are accurately communicated.
  • Establish wash standards (Wash STDs) for denim styles in collaboration with the Design team.
  • Review wash samples with the Wash Technician and Design team and provide timely, detailed feedback to vendors.
  • Review trim packages with the Design team and communicate feedback and requirements to vendors.
  • Manage WIPs, monitor production milestones and due dates, and track final in-house dates.
  • Track raw material status and due dates to ensure production stays on schedule.
  • Monitor and report production shortages, overages, and potential liabilities.
  • Track sample progress, including fit, wash, PP, and TOP samples, and follow up on approvals and comments.
  • Identify potential production risks, including wash issues, quality concerns, material delays, and delivery delays, and work proactively with vendors and internal teams to resolve them.
  • Partner with overseas teams to coordinate inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Partner with Logistics to coordinate shipment modes, including air and sea freight, consolidations, and ETD/ETA updates.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including buysheets, WIPs, reports, and production records.
  • Provide timely production updates and proactive problem-solving support to cross-functional teams throughout the production cycle.
  • Inspect TOP samples and bulk production upon receipt for trims, labels, wash quality, workmanship, and overall compliance with approved standards.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Design team to verify measurements and specifications on TOPs and bulk production.
  • Review production discrepancies and issue chargebacks when necessary.
3. Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in apparel production, preferably in denim or bottoms.
  • Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, including fabrics, washes, trims, labels, and construction.
  • Understanding of production milestones, quality control, inspections, and shipment processes.
  • Experience working with overseas factories and managing production timelines.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues and drive timely resolutions.
  • Experience managing multiple production calendars, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and production systems, such as A2000 and PLM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
4. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in wash development and wash approval.
  • Experience working with Los Angeles-based apparel companies or fashion brands.
  • Familiarity with apparel production reporting, WIP tracking, and production documentation.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and overseas partners.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.

Salary range - $90k-100k depending on experience
