Job summary

Chemify Ltd. is seeking a Production Chemist to join the Glasgow site.

You will work within the dispensary and operations teams to execute critical manufacturing tasks, maintain safe laboratory practices, and develop SOPs while supporting process changes and line management responsibilities. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with operations and chemistry teams, and ensure high-quality, reproducible manufacturing output in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc (Hons) in a scientific discipline with laboratory experience.
• Experience in a technical laboratory role with line management responsibilities.
• Ability to work across diverse teams and sites.
• Must have legal right to live and work in the UK.
• Strong work ethic, timekeeping and discipline.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Enthusiasm to learn new approaches and concepts in a lab.
• Problem-solving and adherence to procedures.
• Fluent English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Support the manager by carrying out assigned responsibilities and duties to improve and build new processes for product development.
• Support customer satisfaction objectives.
• Act as a key resource within their field across projects and processes.
• Manage projects and processes requiring varied techniques and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Mentor junior team members and support line management duties.
• Work across shift patterns (early, late, nightshift, weekend) as part of the Operations team.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and equipment.
• Contribute to transforming the company from R&D to full operations.
