Location: Carson, CA – On-site

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 annually (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Design solutions in CAD, prototype, and test to address customization requests for DMF products.
• Anticipate and resolve potential issues in production, installation, and usage to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Collaborate across departments to drive project completion.
• Model designs based on engineering principles to meet performance, reliability, cost, and quality objectives.
• Develop workflows for changes to existing products, ensuring transparency and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure future-proofing and efficient transition from concept to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in product development for consumer or industrial applications.
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience with prototypes in professional, academic, or hobbyist contexts.
• Proficiency with CAD software and lifecycle management systems.
• Ability to lead projects and facilitate teamwork.
• Knowledge of materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes (die casting, injection molding, sheet metal).
• Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners is a plus.
