Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in mechatronics or related field.
• 3+ years hands‑on testing experience in mechanical/electrical/fluid systems.
• Strong fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience with mechanical tools, welding, fasteners, and gear assemblies.
• Intermediate PLC exposure (Beckhoff TwinCAT preferred).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills.
• Experience with pumps, AC motors, gears, air compressors, and lifting equipment.
• Welding experience (AC Aluminum, DC Steel).
• Prior aerospace/military/defense or related industry experience.
• A&P license or technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, fluid, and electro‑mechanical test systems.
• Support development and implementation of ICON's test infrastructure and processes.
• Fabricate and integrate test articles and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop system upgrades and maintain documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior Product Test Technicians.
• Travel to ICON job sites to support on‑site testing and repair.
