The role focuses on sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, and cost engineering for complex products, with emphasis on risk mitigation, component qualification, and total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (supply chain or engineering).
• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering or supplier engagement.
• Expertise in value engineering, procurement engineering, or total cost of ownership (TCO) related work.
• Willingness to travel 30%–40% of the time.
• Preference for onsite work in Massachusetts, with remote options available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using the approved supplier list.
• Partner with suppliers to accelerate product development.
• Drive the development of a manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Manage CAPEX throughout New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize the supply network.
• Complete BOM risk assessments and ensure component qualifications.
• Lead cost engineering activities to maximize total cost of ownership.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, Counter Intrusion to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will partner closely with suppliers, Quality, Manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams to accelerate product development and support a disciplined New Product Introduction process. The position is focused on sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, and cost engineering for complex products, with an emphasis on risk mitigation, component qualification, and total cost of ownership. It also involves building strong supplier relationships and optimizing the supply network to improve program outcomes and manufacturing readiness.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $146,000 – $194,000 annually
