Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in food production layout and design development.
• 5+ years of experience leading product integration initiatives.
• 3-5 years in the food and beverage, and sanitary industries.
• Experience translating customer feedback into product improvements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault for design documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of metal fabrication and welding practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proven project management experience with cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for challenging product line layout problems.
• Lead product design initiatives from conception through commercialization.
• Identify equipment opportunities and support proposals.
• Drive design excellence across multiple concurrent projects.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors and partners.
• Manage projects from initial contact through installation support.
• Provide preliminary drawings and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with Product Design, Estimating and PM teams.
• Conceptualize, design and develop custom layouts for manufacturability and feasibility.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Develop tools/templates to streamline layouts and approvals.
• Support prototype development and test design performance with customer feedback.
• Develop and implement advanced layout processes and best practices.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance quality, customer satisfaction and efficiency.
• Research and introduce new tools/processes to optimize design and integration.
