Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Product Security Engineer specializing in security assessments. You will lead deep-dive penetration testing, threat modeling, and security reviews across MongoDB products, including Atlas and Ops Manager.

Collaborate with engineers to remediate vulnerabilities and advocate for secure coding patterns. You will drive secure delivery across cloud environments, coordinate with red team and detection functions, and help mature our security program using AI-enabled approaches for

Qualifications

• 7+ years in application/product security or pen testing
• Experience with threat modeling, red teaming, and secure code reviews
• Familiarity with Python or Golang
• Hands-on with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with distributed systems and container technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead evolution of internal security and assessment processes using AI
• Conduct deep, hands-on security assessments of MongoDB products
• Research and prototype new attack vectors to strengthen defense
• Collaborate with engineering to remediate vulnerabilities
• Recommend secure coding patterns and container security practices
• Partner with product teams to secure cloud deployments and systems
• Coordinate with red team and detection functions to address incidents
