N26 in Berlin is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to lead security strategy across microservices, mobile apps, and AI-enabled features. You will mentor engineers, drive secure design reviews, threat modeling, and build tooling for SSDLC while addressing AI-specific risks.

You will collaborate with the Security Engineering Segment, promote security standards, and guide data governance. Expect a mix of hands-on engineering, threat hunting, and strategic risk management in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Expert software engineering with Python, Go, or similar.
• Strong threat modeling, security testing, and AI/LLM familiarity.
• Experience building automation to support SSDLC.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams across SDLC.
• Passion for information security and staying ahead of AI threats.
• Deep knowledge of cloud, web, mobile security, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Independently apply advanced security architecture to guide engineers.
• Lead as technical mentor for GenAI/LLM security.
• Perform security design reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews.
• Conduct expert penetration testing of apps and services.
• Develop tooling to support SSDLC and security initiatives.
• Build automation frameworks for secure feature delivery.
• Educate teams on secure coding and AI/data governance.
• Lead vulnerability remediation before production.
• Lead incident response for security events.
• Research new attack vectors in AI and data pipelines.
