Job summary

DeepMind is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Product Security to embed with product teams and drive security across GeminiApps and AI Studio. You will review architectures, protect client data, and secure developer surfaces while partnering with Google's security functions.

You will own vulnerability triage, evaluate bug bounty submissions, and participate in on-call rotations to safeguard production systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Cybersecurity/Engineering.
• 8 years coding in JS/TS, Java/Kotlin, Swift, Python, Go, or C++.
• 5 years in application security engineering.
• 5 years in security operations.
• 5 years testing and launching software products.

Responsibilities

• Perform security evaluations and code audits across web and mobile apps, driving remediation.
• Conduct in-depth security reviews, threat assessments, and code-level audits for GDM products.
• Build threat models for web/mobile products and client-side data privacy.
• Develop secure-by-default client libraries, SDKs, and templates for developers.
• Serve as an active member of the rotational security on-call team.
