Senior Product Security Engineer - Remote/Hybrid - Systematic Trading Firm - Austin, Texas - Up to $160 P/H

12+ Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Acquire Me are working with a leading Quantitative hedge fund known for its rapid innovation in trading technology and real-time risk management. As they continue to strengthen their cybersecurity division, they’re looking for a Product Security Engineer to join their high-performing team and support critical initiatives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and embed secure provisioning, attestation, and verification processes into the hardware and firmware lifecycle
• Collaborate with silicon vendors, OEMs, and engineering teams to validate trust anchors and key cryptographic events
• Lead the design of secure boot, firmware transparency, and device integrity features
• Develop telemetry pipelines to detect anomalies and support compliance reporting
• Contribute to supply chain threat modeling, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
• Stay current on hardware security threats and evolving standards
• Define scalable security requirements and controls across multi-environment deployments

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• 5+ years in product security, firmware/hardware security, or secure systems development
• Strong knowledge of UEFI, BIOS, BMC, NVMe, and open-source firmware (e.g., coreboot, OpenBMC)
• Experience with cryptographic primitives for attestation (ECC, SHA, PCRs, X.509)
• Skilled in systems programming (Go, Rust, or C/C++)
• Familiar with SBOM standards, firmware signing, and secure boot pipelines
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
