Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a senior technical resource to evaluate and manage product safety and regulatory compliance risks throughout the lifecycle. You will lead hazard analyses, provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams, and mentor developing engineers while ensuring products meet safety and certification requirements.

In this role you will collaborate with project leaders, engineers and designers, communicate safety requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, certification, reliability, quality, design engineering, testing, or related activities.
• Experience with PPE, fall protection, power tools, outdoor power equipment, accessories, or consumer products.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate information and render opinions on product safety.
• Lead hazard analyses for assigned product categories, platforms, or programs.
• Advise project leaders, engineers and designers on safety requirements and constraints.
• Communicate safety matters with external customers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate standards and safety expectations.
• Supervise product safety testing, including data analysis.
• Resolve complex safety questions using engineering judgment and standards.
• Incorporate post-sale safety feedback into product reviews.
• Mentor engineers on judgment, documentation, and cross-functional communication.
• Review operator manuals and on-product markings.
• Assist in recalls and stay current with OSHA requirements.
