Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff Engineer with working knowledge of IEC 60601-1 and related standards to lead product safety compliance across U.S. and international markets.

The role requires independence with minimal guidance on diverse products and strong report writing skills. You will support engineering teams, sales, and customers, perform tests per standards, contribute to audits, and help maintain accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 8–10 years of product safety experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and visit client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support base standards: IEC 62368-1, IEC 61010-1, IEC 60601-1 and collaterals.
• Quote to support management for product safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain quality for internal and external audits.
• Test products per standards; core tests include power input, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, stability, mechanical hazards, flammability, IP testing.
• Assist in audits and client communications; write technical reports and test data sheets.
• Manage multiple projects and provide engineering rationale for decisions.
