Job summary

Mesh is hiring a Senior Product & Privacy Counsel to partner with product, engineering, and design teams from ideation to launch. You will tackle privacy, IP, and regulatory challenges across the product lifecycle, balancing risk with fast-paced execution.

In this in-house role, you will guide privacy by design, manage trademark and patent activities, and oversee US money transmission and consumer-protection requirements across regions where Mesh operates.

Qualifications

• Active membership in a US state bar in good standing.
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house counsel time.
• Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or regulated tech environments.
• Working knowledge of privacy, IP for software, and open-source licensing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to product, engineering, and design from concept through launch.
• Advise on privacy & data protection by design across regions; shape data flows and retention.
• Manage trademark strategy, IP clearance, and patent portfolio coordination with outside counsel.
• Provide guidance on US financial regulation (money transmission, BSA/AML) and consumer protection.
• Draft and negotiate product-related terms and disclosures with partners and vendors.
• Collaborate with Compliance, InfoSec, Marketing, and Regulatory to align licensing posture.
