Job summary

Mesh seeks a Senior Regulatory Counsel to lead global regulatory strategy and market entry across LATAM, the EU, the UK, and APAC. You will work with the Chief Legal Officer to shape licensing and authorization workstreams enabling Mesh’s international expansion.

You will collaborate with Compliance, Product, and Sales, standing up cross-border entities and translating complex rules into practical guidance while managing outside counsel in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience across cross-border or international financial services, payments, or crypto regulation.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory regimes in LATAM, UK, EU, APAC.
• Experience leading licensing, registration, and authorization projects across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Own global regulatory strategy and market-entry planning across LATAM, the EU, the UK, and APAC, including licensing and authorization sequencing.
• Lead regulatory workstreams for major expansions (Brazil VASP/SPSAV, UK FCA, EU MiCAR/PSD2, MAS).
• Structure global product and distribution with localization and partner networks.
• Coordinate with Compliance and regional MLROs on licensing applications and regulator engagement.
• Manage outside counsel with clear scope, budget, and timelines.
