Job summary

System One is seeking a Business Analyst for a Contract To Hire engagement. The position is remote with responsibilities spanning multi-Federal stakeholder priorities, backlog ownership, and product delivery.

The candidate will analyze requirements, define acceptance criteria, and coordinate cross-team releases from McLean, VA. The role demands 8+ years of business analysis/product ownership experience, strong Agile delivery skills, and the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

Eight years or more of experience in business/systems analysis, product ownership, agile delivery, or IT modernization.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal/Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate the product vision, goals, roadmap, and measurable outcomes in alignment with federal stakeholder priorities and platform strategy.
Own and refine the product backlog; prioritize features, defects, and technical work based on business value, risk, and delivery capacity.
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements for iterative delivery across business, functional, data, and integration domains.
Translate needs into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and interface requirements.
Serve as day-to-day product decision-maker and manage scope, tradeoffs, and governance decisions.
Lead discovery, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and release planning activities.
Review completed work against acceptance criteria and coordinate validation and user acceptance testing.
