Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Product Owner to own the roadmap and execution for the Retirement and Government Savings programs. You will define stories, prioritize the backlog, and partner with an Agile team to deliver high-value features. Collaborate with stakeholders, drive sprint planning, acceptance, and UAT, ensuring alignment with regulatory and audit standards in a fast-paced environment.

Five plus years in product ownership and tools like Confluence, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Aha! are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or technology.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or related role.
• Strong communication and writing skills with ability to influence at all levels.
• Proven experience implementing Agile principles with strong technical skills.
• Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Aha!.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains the Scrum Team Roadmap.
• Prioritizes and sequences the Backlog according to business value or ROI.
• Conveys the Vision and Goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint.
• Represents the customer and interfaces with stakeholders.
• Collaborates with the Scrum team on feature development, backlog, user stories, sprint support, and UAT testing.
• Works with BAs and Technology to create BDD stories and elaborates Epics into actionable stories.
• Participates in daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Inspects progress and has authority to accept or reject work; adjusts course as needed.
• Maintains relationships with business and client to understand evolving needs.
• Involved in organizational readiness activities; acts as primary point of contact for updates and feedback.
• Identifies and tracks KPIs to support the team and products; establishes annual goals.
