Job summary

BNY invites applicants for a Product Owner position within the Markets, Margin Services team based in Lake Mary, Florida. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of Margin Segregation applications, coordinating with business and technology stakeholders to define strategy and prioritize enhancements.

You will transition users from legacy platforms to strategic solutions with minimal disruption, mentor product teams, and explore AI and automation to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience within Operations, Client Service, or a related function in Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, operational risk, client service, market settlement practices, SWIFT, and Standing Settlement Instructions (SSIs).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess business, operational, and technology risks.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and act as a bridge across business, product, operations, and technology stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance strategic priorities and immediate business needs in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and share expertise to strengthen product teams and broader capabilities.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Product Operating Model (POM) practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Product Owner and key business liaison for Margin Segregation applications.
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through post-launch optimization.
• Develop and execute product strategy, transitioning users from legacy platforms with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, defect remediation, and releases.
• Support Sales and Relationship teams with client discussions and solution positioning.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve processes and efficiency.
• Assess risks and define tactical and strategic courses of action.
