Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Product Owner-eCommerce Experience for a Rochester, NY client. You will own the builder backlog, drive improvements, and champion modern, customizable experiences, while also owning catalog infrastructure including PIM and DAM.

You will collaborate with third-party vendors, internal stakeholders, and systems integrators to align requirements, define user stories, and ensure a cohesive builder experience across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, IS, DM, Marketing, Business or CS.
• Minimum five years related experience.
• Experience with product customization tools or design editors preferred.
• Experience with third-party vendor platforms and systems integrators.
• Backlog management in Azure DevOps, Jira, or Aha!.
• Strong Agile, Scrum or Kanban knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.
• Ability to balance tactical and strategic builder goals.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for all builder-related features across platforms.
• Partner with SI partners and stakeholders to define requirements and write user stories.
• Evaluate builder experience against benchmarks and emerging practices.
• Identify gaps to modernize builder UX and template management.
• Define strategy for catalog infrastructure feeding the builder experience.
• Serve as requirements authority for catalog teams and tooling standards.
• Act as SME on builders within ecommerce to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with Kiosk, Mobile, and Web product teams for cross-cutting improvements.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and reviews.
• Research and adopt new capabilities, including AI-driven personalization.
• Monitor performance metrics and use data to prioritise work.
• Contribute to accessibility compliance (WCAG/EAA).
• Translate technical constraints into business language and vice versa.
