Job summary

Roblox Corporation is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Avatar creators. You will own the Marketplace, shape the creator economy, and partner with engineers, designers, and data scientists to drive roadmaps that grow creator earnings and platform expression.

You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, balance supply and demand in a two-sided marketplace, and advocate for customers while expanding Roblox’s economy globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience shipping high quality experiences for developers, creators, small businesses, or brands with high technical fluency.
• Experience in two-sided marketplaces is a plus.
• Ability to understand customer needs and advocate for their interests.
• Cross-functional collaboration across design, engineering, analytics, and marketing.
• Strong written, visual, and verbal communication to share complex ideas clearly.

About the role:

Avatars are core to our mission and everyday, millions of people come to Marketplace or other avatar shopping experiences to discover and shop for creations that help them express their individuality. They dress and play with their avatar as they connect with friends across thousands of immersive digital experiences. Powering the creativity of our Marketplace is our community of creators and developers who are building businesses and establishing their brand by selling creations. These creators range from individuals to small businesses to large brands, all of which are attracted to the Roblox platform, community and offerings.

Our Marketplace is a critical component of Roblox’s economy, accounting for a third of economic activity on the platform. As a Senior Product Manager responsible for Avatar creators, you will have a front seat at shaping the future of the Marketplace and what it means to build an economy powered by our community.

You will:

• Be responsible for building and shipping creator driven products that unlock more expression on the platform
• Have ownership of our UGC creator ecosystem, decide which new categories we should build, manage supply health and grow core metrics that ladder up to helping people create avatars for the broader community
• Get hands-on with our community, understand their needs, and partner with the engineers, designers and data scientists to build roadmaps
• Balance the needs of a two-sided Marketplace, constantly striving to deliver for our community and consumers, while using a combination of data and research to inform and iterate on decisions
• Be a champion of Marketplace and our Economy across the company and with the community

You have:

• 5+ years of Product Management experience shipping high quality, delightful experiences for either developers, creators, small businesses or brands that have a high technical fluency. Bonus if you’ve done it in two-sided marketplaces.
• You go deep into the needs of customers, are not afraid to have direct relationships with them and is an advocate for their needs
• You understand what it takes to build a digital business, how owners think about their bottom line, tools they want to grow their business and the biggest unlocks Roblox can provide to grow creator earnings across consumer and creator products.
• Interdisciplinary experience. In addition to the standard product functions of design and engineering, you have experience working within a multidimensional environment including analytics, business development, communications/PR, and marketing
• Skills to convey complex ideas through written, visual, and verbal communication, always focusing on the reasons behind everything you do. Those skills transition from the detailed and technical for specs to the inspirational for strategic presentations.
• Spirit of an Entrepreneur with an ability to contribute to product design, project management and technical ideas.
• Skills to execute in a growing environment, with competing resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning and development, through launch.

Annual Salary Range

$280,540 — $330,950 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
