Job description

Senior Product Manager - Tech, Price Perception and Evaluation

Job ID: 10514561 | Amazon.com Services LLC

As the world’s most customer-centric company, we want to provide customers with tools that help them understand how a product’s price has changed and whether a deal represents genuine value. We do this by giving customers a trustworthy view of historical prices and ensuring deal and promotion experiences are supported by the right pricing inputs.

As a Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will own two connected customer missions. The first is helping customers understand a product’s historical price through clear, useful experiences across Amazon. The second is ensuring deals and promotions have the right pricing inputs to evaluate and support their savings claims.

You will set the worldwide vision for how Amazon captures, interprets, and communicates historical-price information. You will turn large and complex datasets into simple customer guidance while establishing the standards and technical foundations that make the same evidence useful to downstream systems. Your work will shape how customers decide whether now is a good time to buy and how Amazon earns trust in the value communicated through deals and promotions.

This is a rare opportunity to lead at the intersection of customer experience, data, science, and large-scale technology. You will define a multi-year strategy, make high-judgment product decisions, and align teams across Pricing, Deals and Promotions, shopping experiences, and international businesses. You will balance accuracy, coverage, freshness, and simplicity while building solutions that work across diverse products and worldwide marketplaces.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own the worldwide vision, three-year strategy, roadmap, and success measures for two customer missions: helping customers understand historical prices and improving the pricing inputs used by deals and promotions.
  • Evolve Price History into an intuitive experience that helps customers interpret past prices and make confident purchase decisions.
  • Define how historical-price context appears across shopping surfaces and AI-assisted experiences.
  • Establish the product standards, technical requirements, data products, and quality expectations for historical-pricing inputs used by deal and promotion systems.
  • Create tenets and decision frameworks for determining which historical-price information is representative, relevant, and useful.
  • Translate customer needs and complex pricing mechanics into clear product requirements, technical priorities, and launch plans.
  • Partner with engineering, science, design, research, analytics, and business teams to deliver durable worldwide solutions.
  • Define and inspect measures of customer comprehension, purchase confidence, coverage, accuracy, freshness, data quality, and downstream adoption.
  • Lead experiments and worldwide launches, including marketplace readiness, dependency management, and post-launch measurement.
  • Align senior leaders on product choices, investment priorities, and cross-organizational dependencies through clear narratives and decision documents.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
