You will work backwards from the customer to define the problem(s) we are trying to solve along with the customer experience, vision, tenets, product strategy, and requirements. You will communicate a compelling product vision and drive innovative product concepts from idea to launch. You can deliver the right product solutions independently, with limited guidance. You are able to operate at multiple levels, and are equally comfortable deep diving into complex architectures and technical solutions to influence technical trade-offs with engineering and scientists as you are designing wireframes and building financial models.
Experience building and launching hardware products is a must. Experience in the sustainability space is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a new or existing customer device from concept to release, proven ability to develop strategic vision based on the customer, and excellent verbal and written communication skills with senior leaders across all stakeholders. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, know how to deliver, are deeply technical, highly innovative, and long for the opportunity to build pioneering solutions to highly impactful challenging problems, we look forward to talking to you.
Key job responsibilities

  • Inspire the team with the product vision, generate buy-in for the product vision with leadership and partner teams, and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life
  • Understand and articulate customer needs, conduct on-going customer research (in partnership with research team), leverage internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritize requirements
  • Be a passionate advocate for the customer; provide the voice of the customer
  • Manage the product life cycle from inception to launch: translate end-to-end customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements and manage prioritization and trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great customer experience
  • Evaluate business opportunities, defining and re-defining business models and applying, or creating, new and emerging technologies
  • Create the business case. Determine the product pricing, product cost and go to market strategy.
  • Be the domain expert for your product line tracking trends, new technologies, and opportunities to partner
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
