A key part of that transformation is delivering innovative products that connect with our audiences - and sports is central to that effort.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape the future of our sports digital products, including experiences that support coverage of Georgia's high school, college, and professional teams. The Team You'll Join

You'll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven product organization focused on audience impact and business growth. As a Senior PM, you'll work across disciplines - including editorial, engineering, design, analytics, and growth - to help build the next generation of sports products and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the development of complex features within the Sports product area, ensuring alignment with business goals and audience needs.
  • Support the product vision and roadmap for AJC's digital sports experiences, aligned with company and audience goals.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features and enhancements.
  • Lead product discovery efforts to deeply understand user behaviors, pain points, and opportunities within the sports audience.
  • Translate customer insights, data, and business objectives into clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics.
  • Monitor product performance and use qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver features that inform, engage, and delight our sports audience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field
  • Experience with consumer-facing digital products.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (headless CMS experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills - able to bring clarity and structure to complex workstreams.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and user research; able to connect audience needs with product decisions.
  • A passion for sports and an interest in how digital products can enhance the fan experience.
