Overview

Datavant is a data platform company and the world’s leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format. Our platform enables secure, accessible, and usable health data to inform better decisions and is trusted by leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and providers.

Datavant is a distributed, remote-first team. We hire for three traits: smart, nice, and get things done. We invest in our people and empower Datavanters to shape their working environment to suit their needs. We are fast-paced, product-driven, and encourage you to read about the Datavant Way.

The Role

The Provider Product team is looking for an experienced senior product manager to join a team transforming how healthcare providers exchange information. As a Senior Product Manager in the Release of Information (ROI) product zone, you’ll contribute to the roadmap and strategy for Datavant’s ROI platform serving 70% of top health systems and 40% of providers in the US. You’ll partner with design, engineering, operations, and product teams to create workflows and processes that optimize fulfillment while enabling secure, fast, and comprehensive data exchange for everyone in our ecosystem.

You might not like this role if
  • If you dislike operating within a highly regulated segment where product insights can be found in regulatory text
  • You prefer not to work on products requiring strict security and compliance
  • You prefer consumer technology to enterprise infrastructure
  • You prefer working with a clean slate
Your first 30 days will include
  • Learning about the core business of information exchange / release of information in healthcare
  • Diving deep with sales, customers, and operations on key challenges
  • Collaborating with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to define the pod’s charter and roadmap
  • Shipping key improvements that positively impact tens of millions of patients’ lives
What you bring to the table
  • 5-7 years of product management experience in tech-forward companies
  • Ability to structure problems, develop clear problem statements and hypotheses, and prioritize work using business understanding and data
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; consistently keep teams updated on strategy and progress
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Operations to build and launch new products
  • Experience or interest in the healthcare provider / payer / services industry
  • Experience in a regulated industry and a willingness to grapple with regulations
  • Kindness, smarts, and the ability to Get Things Done
