Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to lead the definition and execution of the product security strategy for PAN‑OS. This high‑visibility role spans security governance, threat modeling, and platformization across physical, virtual, and cloud form factors.

The ideal candidate will drive security while preserving usability, collaborate with engineering and security teams, and influence enterprise customers with a security‑minded product strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a highly technical role such as software development, product security, release management, or systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong threat modeling, encryption standards, identity and access management (IAM), and RBAC.
• Direct experience with Secure-by-Design frameworks, SDL, and application security tooling (SAST/DAST).
• Linux knowledge including secure boot, SELinux, and IMA.
• Familiarity with frontier cybersecurity AI models and defending against them.
• Experience with vulnerability management, severity prioritization, and researchers.
• Ability to interface across engineering, security teams, and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the Platform Security Roadmap for the PAN‑OS platform across all deployment forms.
• Mitigate emerging AI threats with proactive defense strategies and roadmaps.
• Embed Secure-by-Design principles across the product lifecycle with cross‑functional teams.
• Balance rigorous security controls with usability for end users.
