Job summary

Redwood Trust is seeking a Product Manager to translate business priorities into a clear backlog for its Business Purpose Lending tech portfolio. You will own requirements from discovery through release and align business and technology teams on outcomes to deliver value across Salesforce, data services, and finance systems.

You will collaborate with lending operations, originations, underwriting, closing, asset management, and external partners, maintaining backlog quality and acceptance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years experience in product ownership, business analysis, or tech delivery.
• Proven backlog ownership with clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile delivery through discovery, refinement, development, testing, release, and post-production support.
• Strong facilitation and communication; aligns stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Working knowledge of system integrations, data flows, reporting, access controls, testing practices, and production change management.
• Ability to analyze operational problems and recommend practical solutions with evidence.
• Ability to manage several workstreams and maintain product documentation in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog that reflects business value, regulatory requirements, dependencies, and delivery capacity.
• Lead discovery with business stakeholders to define problems, users, current process, desired outcomes, scope, assumptions, constraints, and success criteria.
• Write epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, flows, and requirements for developers and QA.
• Coordinate releases by sequencing work, identifying dependencies, and confirming readiness.
• Monitor product performance post-release and adapt backlog based on defects, adoption, and data quality.
