Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) testing, dedicated to oncology, women's health, and organ health. Its RWD platform at the clinic connects an ecosystem of real-world evidence, molecular data, and clinical insights to deliver actionable information to physicians. The company's mission is to make personalized genetic testing and diagnostics part of the standard of care, enabling earlier and more targeted interventions.
The role
This Senior Product Manager role sits within Natera's RWD platform team and focuses on building and scaling physician-facing RWD applications. You would own a physician-facing application covering a patient's molecular and clinical journey, as well as the workflow integrations behind it. You would partner with cross-functional product teams, engineering, AI/ML teams, and clinical teams to deliver tools centered on enriched patient insights.
What you would do
- Collaborate with clinical product management, EMR, UX product management, marketing, and medical teams to drive product strategy and roadmap.
- Drive integration of genomic tests (Signatera/ctDNA, hereditary risk, tumor/normal, NGS profiling, liquid CGP) into a unified oncology digitized experience.
- Work with AI/ML teams to build applications for patient-level and clinic-level insights, including cohort comparison, clinical trial matching, and cohort analytics tied back to individual patient care.
- Partner with legal, privacy, and security to design HIPAA obligations, PHI handling, and data-governance requirements into the product from the start.
- Own single- and multi-patient views that bring molecular results and clinical events together in one physician-facing application.
- Integrate AI-powered clinical trial matching that connects patients and physicians to relevant investigational therapies based on molecular, clinical, and patient criteria.
- Enable EMR/EHR integration and mobile access, and contribute to an analytics framework that captures user data and informs continuous product development.
- Partner with the Health Systems business unit to define, build, and launch a de-identified, aggregated research platform for precision medicine and research.
- Engage physicians, key opinion leaders, and academic collaborators to translate clinical needs into features, and track KPIs centered on the physician experience.
What they are looking for
- 5+ years of product management or related experience in healthcare, engineering, genomics, or AI/ML.
- Deep understanding of the oncology domain with direct experience building requirements and collaborating with physicians.
- Experience building clinician-facing software that fits into real clinical workflows.
- Experience delivering AI/LLM-derived clinical data into provider-facing products, including human-in-the-loop review, confidence labeling, and data transparency.
- Backlog ownership: writing and grooming user stories in Jira and driving PM perspective in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retros).
- Comfortable writing SQL (or equivalent) to check status, investigate issues, and measure outcomes.
- Track record of setting product KPIs and moving them, with specifics on adoption, engagement, and quality.
- Fluency in oncology and genomics clinical concepts (staging, lines of therapy, biomarkers, MRD/ctDNA).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with clinical, technical, and commercial audiences.
- Preferred: experience using AI tools to prototype and draft specs; EHR integration experience (SMART on FHIR, HL7/FHIR, Epic or other EHR ecosystems); familiarity with PHI-handling applications, HIPAA, or regulated clinical software; familiarity with FDA clinical decision support or SaMD considerations.
