Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Risk to own product strategy and roadmap for fraud, account takeover, and scam risk. You will work with Engineering, Data Science, and Risk Analytics to deliver risk products at speed while maintaining a strong customer experience.

You will translate risk signals into product requirements, lead cross-functional workstreams, and influence leadership with clear business impact narratives. Base compensation reflects location and equity potential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on risk, fraud, trust and safety, or payments in consumer fintech/e-commerce.
• Proven track record shipping risk or fraud products that reduced losses or improved detection.
• Deep fluency in data-driven decision making: metrics, experiments, ML model interpretation.
• Experience partnering with engineering and data science to build real-time risk systems.
• Able to translate complex risk trade-offs into clear business impact for leadership.
• Experience using generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for risk domains (e.g., ATO prevention, scam detection, payment fraud).
• Define vision, priorities, and success metrics to reduce losses and improve detection.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to ship risk products from concept to launch.
• Partner with Risk Analytics and ML teams to translate signals into product requirements.
• Lead experiments and measure impact on fraud rates, false positives, and friction.
• Analyze industry trends and threats to guide long-term risk product strategy.
