Coupa seeks a Senior Product Manager for AI Documents to lead the vision of Document Intelligence AI products. You’ll partner with data science, ML engineering, UX, and GTM to shape capabilities, validate hypotheses, and deliver user-centric AI features at scale.

You will drive measurable outcomes by defining success metrics, prioritizing AI capabilities, and evangelizing innovative technologies across teams and customers, enabling efficient procurement and finance workflows.

The Impact of a Senior Product Manager, Coupa AI Document Intelligence at Coupa:

We are on a mission to automate how businesses transact. As the Senior Product Manager for AI Products, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Coupa’s next-generation AI capabilities. You will provide product leadership to our Document Intelligence AI Data Capture area, expand on our highly successful proprietary T-LLM predictive models and continue to bring state-of-the-art in machine learning.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product innovation, AI/ML strategy, and enterprise workflow transformation. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams to turn customer needs and AI advancements into tangible product value. You will play a key role in building intelligent, autonomous capabilities that streamline procurement and finance processes—leveraging Coupa’s platform, proprietary data, and community intelligence in a secure and scalable way.

What You’ll Do

• Own and execute the product vision Coupa’s Document Intelligence AI products and capabilities, with a focus on building intelligent, autonomous software that enhance procurement, sourcing, and spend workflows
• Embed into Data Science Research and AI Platform product teams - we work within the product delivery model and collaborate daily, continuously validate hypotheses, and iterate.
• Work with high-caliber AI talent that builds proprietary AI technology, leverage top-tier research infrastructure, including clusters of high-end GPUs and large-memory machines, to run ambitious experiments at real-world scale.
• Partner closely with UX research and design teams to craft delightful and reliable AI experiences that are intuitive, context-aware, and action-oriented; engage with customers and customer facing teams to get deep customer insights.
• Translate cutting-edge AI technologies (LLMs, embeddings) into practical, user-friendly product features that drive measurable business outcomes
• Define and monitor product success metrics such as model precision, response relevance, adoption rates, and user satisfaction
• Align and coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, GTM, customer success, and product marketing to ensure successful launch and adoption
• Evangelize and advocate internally and externally for complex and sometimes difficult-to-explain technologies
• Drive products through all stages of design, building, and long-term adoption
• Ruthless prioritization of different organizational priorities to achieve maximum impact
• Continuously improve how we deliver digital products

What You Will Bring to Coupa

• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML, or enterprise automation building or managing AI/ML or AI products, with a strong understanding of LLMs, RAG pipelines, embeddings, and agentic AI design.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and user-centric experiences
• A track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams — especially data science, ML engineering, and UX design — to deliver AI-powered features at scale
• Strong product thinking, with the ability to identify high-impact use cases and prioritize AI capabilities that drive real business value
• Curiosity and adaptability to stay ahead in a fast-evolving AI landscape, proactively learning about emerging models, tooling, and design patterns
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills — both to align internal teams and to articulate product value to stakeholders
• Experience with agile principles, iterative development, and launching experimental or MVP AI capabilities
• Deep empathy for end users and a passion for crafting intelligent, intuitive, and trustworthy AI interactions
• Have an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, but a “willingness to do the dirty work” attitude
• Experience working cross-functionally in SaaS organizations with product management teams, structuring and analyzing data to yield interpretable, actionable insights.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
