The Product Team at Priceline is looking for a visionary and passionate Senior Product Manager, Conversational AI to join our AI Experiences team, focused on Penny , our AI travel assistant. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how users interact with Penny across conversational surfaces – crafting intuitive, human-like, and emotionally intelligent AI interactions through voice and chat.
In this role, you’ll define how Penny communicates, lead prompt and response development, and continually improve interaction quality by refining language and behavior. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone with a strong foundation in AI, natural language interfaces, and a deep understanding of how to create compelling and coherent user experiences through conversation.
You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, and marketing to bring AI-powered travel experiences to life, helping us deliver on our mission of making travel easier and more personalized.
What You’ll Do:
Define Penny’s voice, tone, and personality across all conversational interfaces.
Lead efforts in prompt engineering, response design, and conversational quality to ensure consistency and clarity across AI interactions.
Own and improve AI product behaviors through continuous testing, evaluation, and prompt refinements.
Partner with LLM engineers, linguists, design, privacy and other stakeholders to shape guardrails and conversational structure.
Translate customer insights, model outputs, and business requirements into high-quality conversational experiences.
Manage the full product development lifecycle – ideation, specs, testing, and launch – focused on AI-driven interactions.
Build product capabilities that enable scalable chat and voice-based features, increasing automation, personalization, and user satisfaction.
Work with engineering leadership to build tools and infrastructure that enable agile development and AI deployment.
Own conversational-quality KPIs tied to language performance, response accuracy, tone alignment, and user satisfaction (e.g. intent-resolution rate, conversation CSAT, and average tokens per resolved intent) leveraging them to guide prompt engineering and model tuning for delightful, low-latency cost-efficient interactions.
Who you are:
5-8+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to platform development and AI technologies.
Proven experience in prompt engineering, linguistics, copywriting, and/or conversational UX, with a nuanced understanding of tone, grammar, and conversational flow.
Strong understanding of LLM models, behaviors, tone shaping, and performance evaluation.
Experienced in building or contributing to AI-driven products, especially LLM-based systems and multi-modal conversational platforms.
Able to distinguish and refine subtle differences in AI output, ensuring consistency with brand and experience goals.
Familiarity with how to define and shape guardrails for AI behavior.
Experience working on or managing AI product development.
Demonstrated ability to steer AI behavior using targeted prompts – not just leveraging AI tools, but deeply understanding how to shape them.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.
The salary range for this position is $180,000- $205,000K USD.
